“As for me as an only child, it was like walking into a sanctuary where all pressure was taken off of me. Ironically, it was the most peaceful week of my life because of Shepherd’s Cove.”

The relief of this caregiver was palpable as she told the story of her mother’s end-of-life care from Shepherd’s Cove. This kind of comfort is available to all patients facing the realities of terminal illness and their families. In 37 years of existence, Shepherd’s Cove has never turned anyone away for inability to pay. This is only thanks to community support through the Shepherd’s Cove Foundation.

The Shepherd’s Cove Foundation is a separate 501c3 organization that acts as the fundraising arm for Shepherd’s Cove. Lead by Director Annah Grace Morgan, the Foundation helps people put their compassion into action and garner the resources necessary to support hospice operations and its many related non-reimbursed programs. These programs include granting last wishes for patients, providing patient assistance for non-physical needs, helping patients create legacy gifts for their loved ones, and providing grief support at no charge to anyone in the community who has suffered a significant loss.

Because individuals choose to give their time, talent, and treasure to the Foundation, others in our nine-county service area can find more life on their end-of-life journey – more joy in the midst of sorry, more peace in uncertainty, and more comfort in times of pain and grief.

The mission of Shepherd’s Cove Hospice WOULD NOT be possible without community support. Want to know how you can help? Click the “Donate” button at the top of the page to make a monetary gift right now.
