For Shepherd’s Cove nurse Alisha, providing hospice care for patients and families in nursing and assisted living facilities allows her to care for the “grandparents” she never personally had.
Watch the video to hear Alisha’s hospice story in her own words.
Alisha was adopted. Her parents were older. She grew up without the benefit of grandparents. Today, she serves as a facility hospice nurse, providing specialized hospice services to individuals living in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. She loves each of her patients as if they were her own grandparents and treats them with the same dignity and respect she would a family member
Because of those who allow Shepherd’s Cove to serve their families, as well as those who support this organization in other ways, hospice nurses like Alisha are able to use their passions to serve others on a difficult road.
